A native Chicagoan, Christopher Gorcik is a professional musician and former school administrator turned business owner. When Covid hit and flipped the world upside down, Chris saw it as the opportunity he needed to begin a new chapter in his life by starting and building a brand new business with his longtime friend and fellow musician, Jarrett Hicks. Armed with his years of management experience in both public and private sector organizations along with his artistic and entrepreneurial spirit, Chris is excited to bring his skills and energy to make Heartland Tents & Event Rentals your destination for all your outdoor party and special event needs.

Jarrett Hicks moved to Chicago from his home state of Nevada after graduate school to pursue a career in music and higher education. For the past 15 years, Jarrett has been teaching at the collegiate level and performing with a variety of musical groups throughout the Chicagoland area. Through years of performances at outdoor music festivals and venues, Jarrett saw a unique opportunity to expand on his prior experience working in the special events industry and set out to build a new business with his long time friend and fellow musician, Christopher Gorcik.
